Alex Nicolson Golf PGA
My name is Alex Nicolson golf professional, Director of Premium Golf Ltd and PGA qualified coach. I have worked with all ages and abilities of golfer, from beginner to County player. I give golf lessons from Worplesdon Golf Club in Surrey, offering instruction for individuals and groups. As well as being involved in county coaching for many years I also helped set up the Premium Golf Consulting network of experts. This network covers a variety of areas complimenting coaching including Sports Therapy, Chiropractic medicine, Nutrition, Psychology and Bio Mechanics. As a result I am fortunate to have access to a wealth of knowledge and facilities to help golfers in a more complete sense.
Golf instruction for busy people
I can empathise with golfers who are short on time. However, I rarely meet golfers who are short on desire to hit great shots. Unless you approach your improvement with a clear direction, these two facts can work against each other. To ensure the time you do have for your golf is rewarded with tangible improvement, I start the process by finding out why you want to get better and then set out a plan for the how you can do it, with the time you have available. Note - I try to accommodate people who work a long week by offering breakfast golf lessons and Saturday slots as well as normal times during the week.
It's the score that counts
Improvement is rarely about swing overhauls. It is largely about developing good habits and working to your strengths. Since the score is the prime determinant of a golfer's ability I always like to look at the short game and a player's game management as well as the swing. Picking the right shots can save you as many strokes as being able to execute them better.
