Rapid fire chips relieve tension
For: Players who tense up or freeze over chips and pitches, due to too many swing thoughts, often leading to thins, fats or duffs.

Drill: This drill is designed to loosen you up, as you will not hit good chip and pitch shots with tense muscles. Place several balls, at least a dozen, around a chipping green and step up to the first one, striking it with your normal chipping action a split second later. Work your way from ball to ball in a quick fashion and you will begin to sense how well your hands, arms, shoulders and club work together when you do not have any time to think about it. You will pleasantly suprised at the results when trying this drill.
