One Minute Tips

Stop at the Top Drill

For: The slicer who initiates the downswing with the upper body, or a lower body slide, causing an steep approach into the ball from the outside and a resulting severe slice.

Drill: From a regular address position, swing to the top of the backswing and stop, making sure you have maintained good balance. Hold the position for a couple of seconds. Complete the downswing by letting the hands fall down under the chin, whilst rotating the hips and legs smoothly toward the target. Through practice, you will feel that the lower body, upper body, arms and club will be more synchronised in your swing, whilst your balance will be greatly improved.
