One Minute Tips |
| Tee in grip improves takeaway |
For: Players who snatch the club away to the inside on the backswing, or overuse the hands in the backswing, rotating the clubface closed, or causing the body and arms to get out of sync with each other. Drill: To co-ordinate the movement of the arms and body during the swing, so that no in swing compensations are necessary. Using a mid iron, place a tee in the vent hole at the top of the grip. Choke down slightly and make slow, short swings keeping the distance between the tee and your belt buckle constant. It will feel like there is no hand action in the swing whatsoever. By practicing this drill regularly, you will reduce your hand action and make a great start to your swing, with a much more co-ordinated arms and body motion. |
