Windstopper - The warm layer

Windstopper ® belongs to a new generation of material that has been produced for maximum warmth, high breathability characteristics and comfort in cold and windy conditions.

Galvin Green Windstopper ® garments offer excellent protection from the wind-chill effect. They are made using Gore's Windstopper membrane which is completely windproof and at the same time highly breathable – allowing your body to stay pleasantly warm and comfortable.

Windstopper ® fabric consists of a patented micro-porous membrane manufactured from expanded PTFE (Polytetraflourethylene), which is laminated with fleece or used as a lining. The micropores are 900 times larger than water vapour molecules, allowing perspiration to pass through unhindered. This thermoregulatory function keeps the body at an optimum performance temperature.

Galvin Green have developed a range of Windstopper® garments including jackets, tops and trousers, all designed specifically for the game of golf. Windstopper garments are easy to wash and maintain, just requiring a regular machine wash.
