Bitesize Nutrition Tips |
| Everything in moderation |
In every meal you eat, try to include carbohydrates, (fruit, vegetables) a lean protein (poultry, fish) and a healthy fat (nuts, oils). If you do this, your body will not be found wanting and you will find your appetite and energy levels will be under greater control. You should always try to keep energy levels topped up, as not eating for long periods of time can cause your body to use up muscle and retain fat, in an effort to find energy. By eating in small amounts more often, you will be well fuelled and your metabolism will be higher. This is particularly important in golf, where as much as 1500 calories can be expended during eighteen holes when carrying a bag. |
