Shaft review - Fubuki

The new Fubuki wood shaft from Mitsushiba has been used and given the seal of approval by some great players, Phil Mickleson and Vijay Singh to name a couple.  Although we were initially lured by its much heralded performance qualities, we couldn’t deny it was very easy on the eye also.

The core technology rests on MDT (modulus differential technology), a revolutionary design concept that combines state of the art high modulus material with responsive, pitch based fibre in and above the tip section.  As opposed to many shafts with multiple components fighting against each other, the Fubuki is indeed a symphony. It feels great and the performance is tangible due to the fact that MDT promotes stability and feel throughout the entire length of the shaft.

In addition, the sheer quality of the construction significantly reduces shaft deformation and lag so you the player can enjoy less spin and a more consistent launch angle.

Mitsushiba put some thought into the branding. Its signature “throwing star” is pictured just below the grip and “Buki” in Japanese means “weapon”.  So if consistent, long and accurate violence off the tee is what you, get in touch…
