Matt Antell FdSc BSc (hons) PGA - Golf Coach
Welcome to my coaching page. A graduate in both Sports Science and Golf & Hospitality Operations Management, I am a PGA Golf Coach and assistant PGA Golf Professional at Tyrrells Wood Golf Club (Leatherhead, Surrey).
I coach a wide variety of players, including: beginners (see Academy); handicap players; juniors (where I work as head coach to the successful Tyrrells Wood junior team and as a County coach to the Surrey 'Futures' development squad); and aspiring amatures - providing long-term multidisciplinary performance development programmes.
As part of Premium Golf's teaching network, I am fortunate to be able to offer my pupils access to a wealth of specialist knowledge and facilities to aid long term improvement in their golf game.
Instruction tailored to you
No two players that I work with are the same. Each has their own physiological and physcological make-up; technical ability and potential; different demands on time and desire to practise. My approach as a coach is to tailor the instruction that I give to my pupils - taking into account the forementioned variables - NOT to fit the player to a particular swing model which doesn't take into account their individual characteristics and circumstances.
To work as efficeintly and as effectively as possible, my sessions are highly structured and begin by finding out where you are currently at and where you want to get to. I am then able to tailor a plan for improvement designed around you and the time you have to practise.

Short Game Schools 4 hours - £100.00 p.p (max 4 people) "Golfers play approximately 65% of their shots within 100 yards. Improving your skills in this range will quickly lower your scores" The short game golf schools I run focus purely on shots from 100 yards and in. The technicalities of pitching, chipping, bunker play and putting are all covered, beginning with skills tests on all departments and highly personalised instruction to turn three or four shots into two. The day completes with a full review and personalised practise notesto take away for sustained improved. |

Location I am based at Tyrrells Wood Golf Club, Surrey, which is easily accessed off J9 of the M25. Tyrrells boasts fantastic practice facilities, including a state of the art Indoor Golf Simulator - one of only two in the UK - integrated with GASP video analysis software (as used on Sky Sports' golf coverage).
