A glorious autumn sunrise lights up the 18th green and, beyond, the cliffs which guard the entrance to Stonehaven. This is one of Aberdeenshires favourite golfing haunts. If you arrive at Stonehaven Golf Club (perched atop the cliffs to the north of the town) as a mid-autumn sun begins to creep over the horizon, the views southwards across the bay to Dunnottar Castle are spectacular.
