The Importance of hydration for performance
 

For golf, hydration is a big performance key. As soon as you begin to feel thirsty, it is a sure fire sign you are already dehydrated. This is obviously more of a concern in the summer, but perspiration affects you all year round and will have an effect during every round of golf you play. Throughout the day, try to drink at least 15 milliletres of water for every pound in body weight. See the table below for recommended daily water intake. Ensuring you are properly hydrated during golf will enable you to focus your attention, maintain energy levels and perform better.
