The challenging opening hole

The historic Clubhouse

The Hertfordshire

Location:

Situated in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, the Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club is within easy access to London and the A10.

The Nicklaus designed golf course provides a memorable experience for golfers of all abilities. At 6176 yards from the white tees and 4839 yards from the reds, The Hertfordshire's par 69 golf course has proven itself to be among the most challenging in England and has used the existing lakes and forest to full advantage. The Course meanders through the lovely Hertfordshire countryside where there is also an abundance of wildlife and attractive water features.

The Hertfordshire has full irrigation and there is no need for temporary greens or tees during even the wettest winter months. Open to the public throughout the year the Club also offers private memberships. The practice facilities are second to none with an undercover, 27-bay floodlit driving range, a large putting green close to the first tee and clubhouse, a short game practice area with chipping green and practice bunkers, and a Members-only open grass academy.

For the leisure enthusiast, there are indoor and outdoor tennis centres, a 17 metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi, and four beauty rooms with a hair salon. The fully-equipped gymnasium overlooks the 1st tee and 9th green of the golf course and has the latest cardiovascular equipment. There are also conference rooms available for corporate clients.

Clubhouse:

The spectacular mansion clubhouse, in addition to all its leisure facilities, offers superb dining and banqueting. The Spike Bar and patio area overlook the first tee and provide the perfect setting to enjoy a drink and a snack after a round of golf.

Broxbournebury Mansion has a history that goes back as far as 1086 to the time of the Doomsday Book. Now however the 37,000 square-foot, grade II-listed mansion house forms the main clubhouse. Under the ownership of American Golf, the world's largest golf course operator, you can be assured that your visit to the Hertfordshire will be both memorable and special.

Whether a low handicap golfer, a budding tennis star, or a keep fit enthusiast or just someone who likes to unwind at the end of the day with a leisurely swim, The Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club has something for everyone.
