Heritage Course - 2nd Hole

The London Club

Location:

Situated in an area of natural beauty in the North Downs countryside The London Golf Club is five minutes from the M20, off the A20, near Brands Hatch. Set in the heart of 700 acres the Clubhouse is approached from the gatehouse by a splendid 1 mile driveway. A fountain stands in front of the clubhouse and an elegant porch awaits your entry.

The two golf courses:

The Heritage and the International were designed by the great Jack Nicklaus. His skill and artistry are very evident in these two immaculate parkland/inland links courses. The excellent team of green keepers ensures that a high standard of care is maintained all year round. Practice facilities include a superb 350 yard range, bunker and chipping facilities and two putting greens.

The Heritage course:

Described as "tantalising and mesmerizing" the design of the course is typically that of Nicklaus. His eye for the land and golfing brain is now legendary. Holes rest in natural valleys, the fairways are undulating and putts run smoothly on well-crafted greens. The rough is knee-deep and should be avoided at any cost. There are water hazards and many tempting carries, and together with the physical challenge of such a long course, we are provided with many subtle strategic choices that are both stimulating and exacting.

The Heritage course is 7208 yards, 6333 metres S.S.S. 70.

International Course 4th Hole

The International course:

Although sometimes considered the second course, The International should not in any way be thought of as second best. Slightly shorter than its neighbour, and with less dangerous rough, it is merely different, and very much complements The Heritage. It stands on its own in terms of class and its ability to challenge even the better golfer. In fact it offers all abilities a mix of an inland links style blended with the innovative designs of today. The International course is 7005 yards, 6128 metres.SSS 69.

Clubhouse:

Hospitality knows no bounds at the London Club. There is an easy-going and welcoming atmosphere at all times, whether you are in the Spike Bar or upstairs in the relaxing colonial style Long Gallery. The veranda is a the perfect spot in fine weather to catch some late afternoon rays and at the same time look down on those making a mess of the last hole of the Heritage! There is water all the way down the left of the hole and deep rough down the right. An uphill approach to a lightning-fast green from the back makes it a real cracker that can ruin your score and provide great merriment to the gallery! The cuisine is generally of a high standard and extends to various international dishes like Teppanyaki, though the barbecue option when available is worth taking if you are really starving.

The Club ensures that both on and off the golf course entertaining is done with style and is ideal for those looking for looking for gracious living and calm.

The steaming 100-degree Japanese bath will banish double bogeys from your mind, and unravel the knots in your muscles until you are totally relaxed.

For those who want to mix business with pleasure, the London Club has a formula that works. In addition to the excellent facilities and service both on and off the golf course, there are also a variety of secluded meeting rooms where business may be discussed in the utmost comfort.
