Beginners

Tyrells Wood Golf Club, just off junction 9 of the M25 near Leatherhead is home to one of Premium Golf's stores and teaching centres and provides a beautiful setting in which to learn golf. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed and you can hit from grass overlooking the rolling hills of the course. Enjoy golf right from the start in the company of fellow beginners, and benefit from our individualised approach to learning, where coaching matches your level and goals and evolves with you as you progress.

Learn the essentials

Learning golf can seem a little daunting from the outside, but at Tyrrells Wood it isn't.  Our coaches quickly de-mystify the game, and soon get you hitting the ball well.  Surrounding the actual hitting of a ball, there are some basics you should also know.  We teach you the must-knows on equipment, rules and etiquette as well.

Step by step or immersion

You can learn in single lessons at a pace to suit you (one to one or in groups) or by immersion in our golf schools, whichever way you prefer. 

Equipment

We can get you started simply, with a starter pack that doesn't break the bank. You are trying out the game after all, so we recommend a small investment to start with - we can also lend you clubs and balls during the lesson.

At our facility here at Tyrrells Wood beginner golfers have to opportunity to join The Academy. The Academy offers new and returning golfers the chance to experience membership of the golf club, get access to the golf course and recieve structured PGA tuition. To find out more click here.
