UNITED PBD Driver
The UNITED PBD driver has been designed and tested, redesigned and
retested and is now absolutely the finished product they had set out to
achieve. Power Band Design Technology, unique to UNITED, enables their
woods to redeliver the lost load (energy) at impact back to the face.
Normally at impact, the head deforms and energy is lost, with PBD
Technology, the head snaps back into shape and the energy is regained,
resulting in much, much longer shots. Even the aerodynamic design
ensures the head glides effortlessley through the air and as such,
returns the the ball with more energy then normal drivers would.
- The PBD's construction is complex and designed around 4 key bands.
This skeletal construction is then overlaid with carbon fibre on the
crown section and high tensile variable thickness titanium around
the sole.

The 2 main bands are designed to expand and contract to enable the
maximum load of energy to be transferred back to the ball just after
impact. The 2 side bands are used to maintain the structural integrity
of the head.

The bullet shape inspired head is designed to reduce drag on the downswing.
This increases club head speed and reduce shot dispersion.
The end result is a high tech driver with a classical look address
with a solid feel that delivers unrivalled performance. |
