Miura Golf

Miura Golf

Miura Golf is responsible for creating irons that have graced the bags of some of the world's greatest players. Major Championships have been won with Miura irons, including the US Open in 2001 (Retief Goosen), US Masters 1991 (Ian Woosnam) and US Masters 1994 (Jose-Maria Olazabal). When Tiger Woods was a Titleist man, Miura were asked to forge his irons under the Titleist name.

Miura Golf are renowned for the quality of their products and are recognised as one of the finest producers of forged irons in the world.

The manufacturing process is overseen by Katsuhiro Miura, in Himeji, Japan - the birthplace of the Samurai sword. He ensures that each set measures up to the most exacting standards. Each iron head undergoes a unique three stage forging process which results in ultimate consistency from club to club.

Since the irons are forged, their loft and lies can be adjusted when necessary. Don't be fooled into thinking that Miura are clubs only for better players, as any player can benefit from the playability and feel offered by Miura golf clubs.  2018 product catalogue

Miura Golf Technolgy

The key to the quality of Miura's clubs is in the detail of their manufacturing methods. Their forging process has three stages, where most manufacturers only have two. This results in the rearranging of the molecular structure of the mild steel, into a uniform pattern throughout each head. This means that void spots are eliminated and the grain of the steel is tighter.

The hosel heights are identical throughout the set meaning that shafts can be centred in each head and weight tolerances are less than half a gram between club heads. As a result, Miura irons offer levels of feel, and consistency through the bag of spin and ball flight  that are unmatched in the industry.
