Miura Wedges

Wedges that put the Miura family’s lifelong learning into golf action. It takes the soul of an artist and the mind of an engineer to improve on beautiful, effective golf clubs. That’s the spirit behind Miura’s wedges their design and feel make them a pleasure to look at and a joy to play.

Miura Wedge Series

The New Wedge Series from Miura, the world’s pre-eminent maker of quality forged golf clubs, preserves the eternal elements of the “old” Series and adds refinements that make the clubs a pleasure to look at and a joy to play. Now in odd-numbered lofts from 51 degrees through 59, the New Series features redesigned bounce angles that work well with the way thinking players like to play golf.

Leading edge and bounce angle combine for a quality impact that leads to a crisp, consistent divot. Distance control and feel are available to the player like never before. Forged from low carbon, Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan, sporting an elegant chrome finish.

Lofts bounces (51/5, 53/7, 55/9, 57/10, 59/8).  Low bounces are ideally for golfers with shallow angles of attack and/or tight lies and compact sand.

Miura Black Wedge

Forged from Japanese mild steel and finished with a distinctive black these superb wedges run in even lofts from 52, 54, 56,58 and 60 deg with bounce angles relatively low to the rest of the industry.

Ideal for tight lies and versatility.

Miura 1957 C-Grind Wedge

The C grind wedges was designed to include more aggressive heel and toe relief to offer a versatility required for golfers playing a broader range of courses and turf types.  Morever, the back end of the sole has been ground away to create a narrower sole. This "special grind" is combined with the unique characteristics that separate Miura clubs from all others.

The feel and precision of the Series 1957 C wedge can't be explained in words, it must be experienced to be understood. Forged from mild, Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan, sporting an elegant chrome finish.  Note lofts are 55, 57 and 59 with the largest bounces of the Miura wedge range (12 deg, 14 deg and 15 deg respectively). Suitable for golfers with a steeper angle of attack or playing from soft sand/deep rough.

Miura 1957 Y-Grind Wedge

The Y grind wedges are similar to the C-grind but have slightly more material at the back of the sole, which can help the club exit sandy lies or rough as it provides more bounce area through impact and less chance of digging.Forged from mild, Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan, sporting an elegant chrome finish. Lofts/bounces in 49/, 51/9, 53/11 and 60/7.  Good mid bounce option for golfers.

Miura 1957 K-Grind Wedge

The sole of the new k wedge is “fluted” which bears a striking resemblance to finger-tip impressions, or even human knuckles.

These three channels reduce the resistance against the wedge in sand, thick rough, and even the fairway. The sole of the wedge moves with the grass instead of against it.   The channels move around the sand instead of colliding with it.  It allows the wedge to accelerate through the ball with less effort in every condition to improve the odds of hitting a good shot.

  • Better results out of wet sand.

  • Reduces the odds of “catching it heavy” on long bunker shots.

  • Better acceleration on ½ and ¼ swings around the green.

  • Digs it out of deep rough.

Works great in normal conditions with the same feel and performance for which Miura wedges are known Forged from mild, Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan, sporting an elegant chrome finish.
