Miura Irons - Blade

Miura Golf are renowned for their forged irons and in particular, their blades which combine classic beauty and buttery feel. They are clubs for golf's true purists. Below are a selection of Miura blades for you to admire.

Miura MB-001 Blade

The MB001 design is for the more advanced ball strikers who value feel, looks and workability. The sole is shaped to pick the ball off crisply. In an industry full of chunky top lines, looking down at this club is a breath of fresh air, offering a simple, clean look that reduces distraction and promotes confidence.

The flow of steel from the hosel to the low-offset head is smooth, elegant, and non-reflective. The MB001 head is almost the same length heel-to-toe as our Tournament Blade, and like that club, offers plenty of "face space" without looking overly long. Although through fitting we ensure the perfect lie angle for the player, this club has an upright appearance.

Without feeling cramped, the player feels closer to the ball, able to see all of it without adjusting away from a comfortable head position. This better view of the ball adds to pre-stroke confidence. Forged from low carbon, premium Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan.

Miura Limited Forged Black Blade

Miura's limited forged black blade iron is a stunning version of the popular muscle back Miura Tournament Blade - but with the distinctive Miura Black finish. It offers a no-glare, flat-black finish with a surface texture that's pleasing to the touch. The LFBB finish is the same as on Miura's Black Wedges. Like the wedges, these irons will show gradual, desirable wear with repeated use. But "wear" doesn't mean "wear out" more like breaking in a premium pair of shoes.

This personalised settling-in of the finish will differ slightly for every player. But in general, the black finish will mature over time to a silvery grey, mostly on the center of the clubface and on the sole, starting at the leading edge. Time in the sun enters into it, as well as the turf the golfer usually encounters. In the end, the Limited Forged Black Blades will be distinctively Miura, and distinctively each golfer's own - and always a joy to look at as well as play. Forged from low carbon, premium Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan.

Miura 1957 'Baby' Blade

Series 1957 - limited special edition is designed for the purist and more confident ball strikers. However the 15% smaller head feels easier to control the face at impact, and what is lost in hitting surface area is made up for in a dense face and substantial, to deliver a robust impact and an aggressive ball flight.

The smaller head also glides through the turf easily - and Mr. Miura added key touches in the design to enhance this advantage. For instance, examine the heel and the toe. The corners are ground upward ever so slightly. It's barely enough to notice, but it's enough "relief" to ensure the best path for the club through the turf. "I'm always looking for new ways to help the recreational player hit the ball more easily," Mr. Miura says. "With this design, you really just have to put your swing on it" -- and here he smiles -- "In a way, we've done the thinking for you, so you can just play and enjoy." Forged from low carbon, premium Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan.

Miura Left Handed Blade

Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the club head. This eliminates void spots in the club face. This process assures that every Miura club in your bag has the distance control, ball flight, spin, and feel that any golfer should demand. This tightness in the grain structure of the metal is what gives Miura made clubs the controlled, soft feel that other manufacturers cannot achieve.

Miura also uses a proprietary "spin welding" process to produce the industry's most consistent hosel. This unique procedure ensures that the bore depths and hosel heights are identical on every Miura made head and the shaft of every club will be perfectly centered. Forged from mild Japanese steel in Miura's own forge in Himeji Japan.
